Well, just like the title says, I always walk away from there with more horsepower!!!
I ditched the AEM CAI 2.25inch intake and had a new custom 3 inch cold air intake made at Donny's(Import Tuner)shop, did
before/after dyno runs and the blower loves it. 5.2hp and 4.1tq increase.
Thanks to Donny, Rickie and the whole crew at ISA. You've done it again!
Zach
Enjoy. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...601&a=11208194

What kind of car is that other dynoplot for? The one with the dip in it around 5200 rpm's? Look's like an NA B18C1.

I'd say your increase was due to the larger 3'' intake, vs a different design. What do you think?

Waveoff, the other plot is an SI with an ITR manifold and cams.
Lundgren, definitely the larger diameter intake helps. I also got a new K&N to fit the larger pipe.
I will have it coated later this year to try to prevent the underhood air from heating it up. Any suggestions?

You live in Houston, right? There should be many places around there that could make a pipe for you. Just ask around and make some phone calls. This unit cost just under $200 including the new K&N. It is really a nice piece. Custom made for the car, not some ghetto attempt by me to make the AEM fit.

I think that is the majority of it...
Your really only going from point A to point B...
anyway you route it is pretty unrestrictive...
I'll test the 3" with the 9lb. upgrade (this spring) and then probably try a 3 1/2" just to see if it helps...
